Product Description

This part includes a dryer thermal fuse, also sometimes referred to as a thermal limiter, for dryers. This authentically sourced part is located on the exhaust duct and acts a safety mechanism that shuts off the power to the dryer when it overheats. This part can be tested for continuity between the two terminals, and if no continuity is detected, it will need to be replaced. The thermal fuse cannot be reset. Once the fuse opens, it needs to be replaced to get your dryer back up and running again.

Dryer would run, but not heat
Needed it running quick, so no diagnostics. Ordered one of everything that could fix problem (plus a new door catch). Tipped it onto it's back & popped the bottom cover off. Element, thermal cutoff, thermistor, and fuse. were right in front and held by 2 screws each (don't drop them, don't ask). A little bit tight inside, but no big issu e. vacuumed the inside, replaced everything (it was the Heating Element, by the way), slapped the cover on, and put it back in its spot. works like it was new. Yes, I unplugged it first. Remember! Safety Third!

Not Heating L2 error flashing on display
Looked at the bulk head image provided by your site for my model. Removed the front panel of the dryer. Located the fuse on top of the fan housing and replaced it with the new one I ordered from you. The only thing that was different were the connectors which did not allow me to apply the plastic covers that were on the original due to a different orientation but otherwise it all worked out well. Turns out it was a bad heating element which I also ordered from you and replaced.

low heat
Replaced five parts and then finally went up on the roof to inspect the 3" exhaust pipe. The cap was clogged. It was the four-side-slot type for keeping out weather. I replaced it with a two 90 deg L's with output pointing downward. That's wide open 3" diameter and should not clog up again.

The dryer would not start
I viewed one of the numerous YouTube videos to diagnose the problem, and how to my disassemble my particular dryer. I ordered the necessary parts from this site . The issue was that the thermal fuse and or the associated thermostat had failed. As recommended in the diagnosis video I replaced both the fuse and the thermostat. Problem solve d! I then reassembled the dryer. The trickiest part was reattaching the tumbler drive belt on the tensioning pulley and the drive spindle. I needed a couple to get it right.
