Grinding , drum flopping , .....Noise !
I won't go into all the details of the repairs .....The videos this company provides are A+++.. Some would say I would have been better off purchasing a New dryer ...LOL if I had to use a appliance repair man for this job ...Probably ...but ...using this site certified parts , and using the easy to follow instruction videos ....It was truly a very easy repair . I spent more time getting everything perfectly clean inside the dryer housing ,and letting the high temp adhesive cure than I did actually installing the parts.I can't recommend this company or the parts more ...Just take your time with removal , cleaning , and installation ....Patience !Excellent ...parts quality , shipping speed , and video installation instructions !!!! My dryer now works and SOUNDS like a new dryer ....Thank you !

dryer drum will not turn
Easy repair for an accountant like me! The idler pulley wheel was shattered. I replaced the belt too. Remove front panels and panels covering drum. Before removing drum note how belt is mounted. Remove dryer drum and belt. Remove idler pulley wheel. Clean out with a sweeper. Put on new idler pulley wheel. Put belt on drum and have someone hold drum in place. Put belt around idle pulley and motor. You need two hands and have to stretch inside to get it around pulley and motor. Test rotation. If ok, reassemble panels and your done. $30.00 repair!! Works like new!

the original pulley was making loud screeching noise. Lubricating it with wd40 would only lessen it, not eliminate it.
I took the lower front cover, filter, and the filter housing off after unplugging the dryer from the wall socket. Then I reached into the dryer and released the belt by pushing against the spring tension. The old pulley came off the shaft and the new one slipped into place with no effort. I then re-routed the belt in the proper direction around the idler pulley, re-installed the filter ducting, filter, and lower cover. Plugged it back in and started the dryer, and the noise was completely gone.

Drum sounded like a cat was thrown in with the cloths.
Having repaired it before, I knew what it needed. ordered all new rollers and because of age a new drive belt. Needed a new door switch, had bypassed it a while ago. finding the parts on the site was a snap, great setup. FIRST, DISCONNECT THE POWER!!! VERY EASY FIX. Lean the unit against the wall at about 30-40 degrees and start removing the screws from the bottom and lift each panel off by pivoting. Take care when removing door frame, unplug the wires. Remove drive belt before removing the drum. Check roller shafts for excessive wear or just replace them with the rollers. make sure you put the spacer back behind the rollers and the rollers facing the right way. Use caution with the felt drum sealers when replacing the drum and the door frame. CLEAN OUT THE LINT BUILDUP WHILE YOU HAVE IT APART. VAC THE MOTOR CLEAN TO PREVENT OVERHEATING.

Drum would not turn & Auto dry would not advance
So glad for this site repair info, videos and reasonable prices saved me at least $100 or more. This repair cost me less than $14. I removed bottom front panel screws. - Then removed middle section door panel and lint filter assembly that swings away from the bottom and hangs by the two hooks under the top lip. Disconnect wires at this point. Remove two screws which held the front of the top. Lid is hinged on the back. Opened it up leaning on the wall. Remove 4 screws holding the bulk head. Lift front of bulk head and drum together to release from slots and removed them. See the videos. HELPFUL HINTS - Clean carefully everything you can get to while it's open (Temp Sensor). This may sound crazy but - set up snap ring pliers to COMPRESS rings for removing and installing the snap ring because the spring spreading the pliers will hold the snap ring under slight pressure while you replace the idler bearing. I cleaned all the roller bearing shafts with a very light hair clipper oil wiped clean with paper towel and lubricated the shafts with SILICONE GREASE used on rubber O-rings in water filtration systems. I happened to have some for our pool pump. Tiny gray cup from home depot made by Danco, Inc. MSDS said was stable to 400 degrees non-flammable. Dryer runs like new. Also upgraded to 4" rigid duct. Good luck with yours

Dryer got too hot then drum got noisy
The video was very helpful except that the instructions for removing the top were for a different Maytag model than mine although it referenced the same model number. The front of my unit had two panels whereas the video showed a model with one panel. The replacement of the thermostats went smoothly. I had some difficulty getting the belt on the correct side of the tension wheel. A drawing of picture would have helped. I could not replace the rollers as had wished because I did not have a tool to remove the retaining ring. I was pleased that the parts arrived within a day of my ordering them.
