Note the position of the lid spring. Read more l you hook the ends of the spring into the lid. 4 - Unbend the paper clip and with the pliers create a 45 degree bend 1/16 inch from the end. 5 - slip the clip end under the pin and hook the end of the spring. Pull the end to the side until it clears the lid rim and let the spring end settle in. Repeat for the other spring end.
