You may need to order an elbow (# W10685193) for the new designed valve to work.

The problem was to replace an old style water inlet valve that was leaking water with an updated model..
There were three connections. One was an electrical socket the other two were water lines. This included the inlet line from the main water supply and the other was an outlet running from the inlet value to the washer itself. The only problem was that the three lines were close to the floor and you had to maneuver your body to get the right angle to remove and reconnect the washer inlet valve and also a hinge that attached the inlet valve to the frame of the washer.

valve leak
email for the part - emailed at 4 pm on a Friday - part arrived in 24 hours. could not believe it.removed bottom plate from dishwasher, removed electric wire from valve,remove hose clamp (slide it back on hose). removed screw holding valve to frame,removed nut holding inlet tube. Installed new valve. Most difficult part was getting up from floor. I am 78 years old.

no water to the dishwasher
When inlet valve arrived i noticed it was different than what I have. Bought an adapter and replaced valve. Put float in and turned on. No water still! Read online a little more and pushed down float and water flowed in!! What a wonderful sound!! Simple to replace! Cost me 82.00 instead of a 1000.00 new dishwasher! ! PRICELESS! !!
