Product Description

The lower dishrack is used to hold the dishes in place during the operation of the cycles. The lower rack measures 5.963” high x 20.46” wide x 22.39” in length. The manufacturer has made some updates to the lower rack, it no longer includes a shelf rack and now has 6 wheels rather than 8. This is a genuine OEM part.

Lower Dish rack was rusting.
Remove the silverware holder. The lower dish rack easily lifts out. Grasp the water distribution tower and turn it counter clock wise. Install the water distribution tower in the same way on the new rack, turning it clock wise. Lower the rear wheels on the track and slide in the dish rack into the dishwasher. Place the silverware ho lder back in place, and you are ready to go. Very easy.

Replacement of Dishracks
I found a solution for installing the lower Dishrack on the Fix.com site and watched a number of You Tubes to install the upper Dishrack. All in all not that difficult but had to spend time understanding how to complete the full installation.

Old lower rack in poor condition due to age and several posts had broken off.
Removed old rack from dishwasher. Removed silverware basket and spray tower from old rack. Connected spray tower to new rack; placed silverware rack in position. During shipment, one of the wheels on the new rack got broken. Easily removed a wheel from old rack and inserted same on new rack. Put new rack in dishwasher with ease. Also appreciated prompt delivery of part. Ordered on a Monday afternoon; it was delivered on Tuesday morning.

upper dish rack was rusting out where edge of dish sat in the rack.
took old one out and replaced it with new one after changing the middle unit.

Replacement of Lower Dishrack with Wheels
Removed old dishrack. Twisted off the center sprayer. Twisted the center sprayer onto the new dishrack. Slid the new dishrack into place.

Tines were rusted off of both dishwasher racks.
I released the retaining clips on the upper slides , removed the upper rack and replaced it with the new one. Refastened retaining clips. On the lower rack I swapped the rinse tower on to the new rack and slid the rack in.

Several of the dish holding tines had lost their coating and were rusting (and breaking off)
The lower dishrack has wheels and is not attached to the dishwasher in any way. The center water dispenser simply twists off the old unit and then twists on the new unit. Unfortunately, one of the wheels was broken on the new rack, but fortunately, a wheel from the old rack pops right off and then on the new rack. One serious problem, is the model number is insufficient to properly describe the lower dishrack. The unit I received came with only three wheels per side and the old one had four wheels per side. The new one "falls" off the track, dislodging any dishes therin.
