Product Description

This authentic OEM part is a wash arm bearing ring for your dishwasher. The bearing ring works in conjunction with the bearing nut to hold the lower spray arm in place. A sign you may need to replace the bearing ring is if the lower spray arm is wobbly when spinning. Over time the bearing ring can become cracked, chipped, or warped and will need to be replaced. No tools are required for this repair, simply remove the lower rack from the dishwasher and then unscrew the bearing nut. Remove the damaged bearing ring and drop the new one in place. The bearing nut can be twisted back in, and the dishrack put back in place.

Lower sprayer arm was excessively loose and would sometimes tip so high that it would not allow the lower basket to be pulled forward..
Remove lower basket completely. Loosen plastic butterfly nut, (in my case only needed to use my hand) Remove spray arm, remove old seal, replace spray arm, put the bearing ring in place, install butterfly nut and tighten, (firm hand tight) DONE

Leaking from bottom of the door.
I originally thought the bottom door seal was leaking. Replaced seal, still leaked. Replaced wash arm bearing ring and spray arm seal. Still leaked. Further inspection of top of the pump assembly, there were 2 screws very loose which allowed the ribbon gasket to leak which directed the water to spray forcefully under the door seal. Tightened the two screws after reseating the gasket. Problem solved. Success has struck! Always a good day!

The plastic screw that help the lower washer arm on broke off.
It was pretty simple, I should have taken it apart before I ordered the parts. I followed the parts diagram and ended up ordering more than I really needed. I guess its better to have more parts then not having what you need.

Pliers
The wash arm bearing ring was missing the plastic lip around the top of the bearing
Repair was extremely easy. First you need to remove the bottom dish rack by pulling it all the way out of the dishwasher in order to get to the wash arm. Remove the plastic screw holding down the wash arm, this can be done with pliers. Generally you can remove the screw without the pliers but some may be tighter than others. Remove the wa sh arm and take out the spray arm seal and replace with the new one. Pay close attention to how the seal comes out to make sure you put the new one in correctly. Replace the wash arm unto the seal. Put the wash arm bearing ring into the center of the wash arm. The upper lip of the bearing ring will rest on top of the wash arm. Then replace the screw hand hand tighten. Be careful not to over tighten. The final step is to put the bottom dish rack back into the dishwasher. It's just that easy.
