Latch on rinse dispenser broken
I removed all of the screws on the door panel and the front would not separate from the back. I went to YouTube and watched the video instructions and did everything it indicated needed to separate. I then discovered that the styrofoam noise insulator between the panels was glued to both sides and needed to use a putty knife to get the gl

Soap dispenser did not hold onto rinse aid liquid
As per written directions and the u tube video. 45 min with gathering of tools. I was careful to avoid torquing down too much on screws going into plastic body, but I did get them tight. I ran a trial rinse cycle, and no leak, but it did leak when I washed a load. The difference was the wash cycle had lots of hot water, and the gasket

softened. When I checked the 6 small screws, they were all loose. No leak when I tightened them. Query whether heating the gasket with a hair blower would allow the initial tightening to be better.

Broken rinse aid despenser
Changinv out the rinse aid despenser was a no brainer. But Whirlpool had redesigned the part, so that I thought the wrong part had been sent. I called and there was a note in the computer explaining the new design and the need to abandoning of one of the wire connectors and how to secure the cable .

Rinse aid dispenser was not dispensing.
The video for the dispenser replacement on the website was pretty clear and the overall replacement was pretty simple. The one complication was that the door on our stainless steel model had been glued on with what appeared to be insultating foam. Consequently, pulling off the door required a lot more hard yanking than the video indica

The dishwasher soap dispenser would not stay closed
The dispenser was clogged with soap debris which kept the dispenser door from locking. I cleaned the washer by running and empty load with CLR which freed most of the debris. I scraped off the remaining debris with a small knife and it now works fine. I'm keeping the new dispenser as a spare and will use it the next time the unit goes

The detergent dispenser's lid didn't close anymore. Plastic latch broke.
I couldn't do the repair. I had no screwdriver that would fit the totally different screws the door had, so I had to call a handyman friend to help me. He has all the tools one may need, but he didn't have that special screwdriver either, so he needed to use pliers to take the screws out and then change the screws to something more "norma
