This OEM dishwasher upper rack adjuster kit includes the left and ride side adjusters and all the parts needed to repair the upper rack. These parts have changed from plastic to metal, so even though it looks different than the original part, it is made to be perfectly compatible. This part is located on the dishwasher rack and is connected to the track, allowing it to move in and out smoothly. If this part is damaged, it may make it difficult to move the rack in and out or it might hang down awkwardly, indicating a repair is needed.

I was expecting original equipment parts, so initially opening the box I was surprised and thought that I would be sending them back. The new parts were, however, correct, and actually of better quality than the original. More steel and less plastic. Dimensions were the same but connections were very different. Instructions were included with photos instead of diagrams. I do prefer well drawn "exploded" diagrams, based on years of experience putting tools and machinery together. The first rack adjuster took 10 minutes and a little head scratching, but the second one took about two minutes. Add about three minutes to remove the old adjusters and the entire job took 15 minutes. I would advise the manufacturer to provide a detailed diagram instead of photos.
Instruction sheet with pictures was adequate. Repair parts much better design than the original equipment. Very pleased that the kit had new assemblies for both sides of the rack. All in all very pleased with the price and the repair parts.
Wheels on original upper rack adjust fell off and end stops would not stay on.
Removed old end stops. Pulled rack out of machine. Carefully removed old adjusters. Snapped in new adjusters. Slid rack back into the runners. Clipped in the new end stops. Done.
For others - first instruction, don't buy Whirlpool. Compared to the KitchenAid that it replaced, it is a piece of junk. This is a Gold Series dishwasher - still junk. Tried to use instructions, hard to see pics (too dark, not descriptive), finally figured out mostly on my own. Imperative to have a Torx15 screwdriver - I didn't find the T15 converter in my material as instructions said I would. New stainless steel parts looks much stronger than the plastic parts they replace - plastic should have never been used - junk. To replace parts, get vague idea of what is needed, will possibly be fairly intuitive after that.
The Wheels had snapped off of the dishrack adjuster
This was a difficult repair only because the black and white photographs were so dark that you couldn't see what they were trying to indicate. The first side took about 30 minutes to figure out and then the second side took 3 because you then know what you are doing. The grand finale was the fact that you need a star-tipped screwdriver. I don't know what this is called but will say that I was lucky to have one. I am unable to describe the repair because I don't know what the parts are called. However a clearer photocopy of the photo directions would have been extremely helpful.
