If the upper rack in your dishwasher is not sliding in and out properly, the rollers may need to be replaced. Faulty rollers can also cause your rack to fall off the track, the door may not close properly, and can make the machine noisy while operating. To replace this part, you will need a flat blade screwdriver in order to remove the rail stop clips from the track, which allows you to completely remove the top rack from your dishwasher. Once you have the top rack on a suitable work surface, the old rollers easily pop off and the new ones can be clipped into place. This kit comes with four genuine OEM rollers and axles, which are white in color and made of plastic.

Will the roller kit in the video work on an older model general electric diishwasher upper basket. Some of the rollers on my upper basket have worn and are no longer functional. The rollers are not identical to the ones indicated in the video but seemingly would work/fit in my dishwasher. So are the rollers indicated in the video universal & would they work on any model? If not, what rollers/part # would fit? Thanks!

The 2 top front rollers had come apart, which made the rack hard to slide out and the rollers come apart. Would not hold any weight.

The rollers roll inside of a 'C' shaped channel that is capped on both ends with a plastic insert. The most confusing problem was how to get the plastic inserts out without breaking them. The trick to removing the end cap on each side is to pry the rear tab on the cap backwards until it clears the C channel then it can easily be moved o
... Read moreutside of the channel and the end cap comes out easily. After both end caps are removed the entire top rack slides out and the new rollers can be easily snapped in place. Once you know the trick about the end caps, they can be easily popped back in place to secure the top rack again.

remove end caps remove upper rack remove roller assemblies and replace with new ones install rack and replace end caps. note buy new end caps at the same time they are cheap and make the job easier
Upper rack would not stay in wheel track because wheel axel was broken.
Removed the side track keeper wheels and rack rail. Removed end stopper in rack rail ends. Replaced all four rollers and axels. NOTE: The removal of the track end piece was tricky but by turning the keeper CCW the stopper came right out and I was able to replace the old wheels and then reassemble the racks and axels. Piece of cake.
Slide the drawer part of the way out. Using the screwdriver, pry the end caps off off the drawer glides. Snap the roller/axle off of the drawer and remover the wheel from the glide. Replace the axle/roller. Put the end caps back on. WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO! IT IS VERY HELPFUL!
removed upper basket from dishwasher. remove old roller and axles (4). These slip off of basket. Mine were brittle and actually broke off. Slip new rollers in place; install basket. To remove basket you need to remove clips from front channels. Pull inside flap down and it will come out; reverse process to install.
First, emptied the dishwasher of all items and water. Second, checked to see if there were any clogs. Third, found make and model of the dishwasher and looked it up in Fix.com Fourth, found the issue - drainplug needed replacing. Fifth, ordered the correct OEM parts. Sixth, installed and tested - works like new.
