Short Bottom Door Seal

I watched the You Tube video on how to change this part but unfortunately my stainless steel diswasher was not as easy as the black one shown in the video. Mine has screws in the bottom of the door as well as rivets, not screws, when trying to loosen the inner face. Because of the rivets I could not get to the seal. I had to remove the sc ... Read more rews on one of the hinges, slide the hinge down, and then I was able to slide the old seal out and slide the new one back on. It took awhile to figure this all out. But it works great now, no more water puddles on the floor.

We just took the old door seal out and put the new one in. It couldn't have been easier and so inexpensive. I will use this service again and would suggest it.

video was great but, dishwasher is a built in model which i cannot do because of disability issue. i must find someone to help me remove unit from cabinet

I removed the 4 screws on back of door per the video, but the door skin would not come off. Had to remove 2 screws at bottom of door which were NOT noted in the video to get the door skin off. Then I removed two screws that were under the door skin, that hold the plastic interior of the dishwasher in, on the bottom, and loosened the two t ... Read more op ones. I was able to pull the plastic interior up enough to slide the old part out and the new one in.Not impossible, but difficult enough.

After two hours of trying I was unable to make the repair. Dishwasher shown in video had different door hinges than actual unit. Part could not be slid in as per video. Had to call an authorized service rep. After 3 hrs. attempting to install the seal and almost taking the dishwasher completely apart he was also unable to install the ... Read more new seal. Position and shape of the hinges (and even an attempt to "lift" the interior panel) did not allow the seal to be "slid" into place. Now facing the prospect of having to buy a new dishwasher.

I watched the videos for both the replacement of the wheels and the seal. The wheels were done in moments and without any tools. It was so nice to be able to slide the drawer without it fall off the track. as far as the seal--although it required a bit more time and tools it was still an easy fix.
