Door Spring

This door spring is approximately 7 inches long. The dishwasher door spring applies tension to the dishwasher door through the door hinge to prevent the door from dropping too quickly when the unit is opened. If the dishwasher door will not open or close properly, check the tension on the spring by opening and closing the door. Also, check for any damage to the spring itself. A damaged, or fault spring should be replaced to ensure the dishwasher does not link during the washing cycle. Use caution when installing the door spring because the spring is under tension and could snap.
