During regular operation of you compressor condensation builds up in the compressors tank, this drain valve allows you to open the tank up, release the pressure, and let the moisture out. Just one quarter turn opens the drain valve fully. This drain valve is made of metal, and it has male threads. Due to the constant contact with moisture the drain valve will rust, disintegrate, and get clogged over time. Each drain valve is sold individually. To replace your drain valve you will need a wrench, this help ensure you have securely attached the valve to the tank.
