Product Description

This is an authentic OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from Rigid. This drain valve, also known as a relief valve, is located at the base of the tank on your compressor. The compressed air in the tank of your compressor creates a thin layer of condensation inside the tank, this valve allows you to drain the moisture and compressed air from the tank. This helps extend the life of your compressor by limiting the damage the compressed air can do to the tank. Because the compressed air is both wet and warm it can cause corrosion inside the tank. Over time the valve itself might become corroded, rusted, leaky, or stripped down, at which point it will need to be replaced. This replacement drain valve is easy to install, and it comes with sealant on the threads to ensure the connection is airtight. Before starting the replacement make sure you disconnect the power to your compressor, and drain the air from the tank.
