Product Description

This genuine OEM part has been sourced directly from Milwaukee. If you notice the motor in your chop saw in running intermittently, if you are experiencing reduced power, or if there are electric breaking issues you might have a worn out carbon brush. Carbon brushes are used to transfer electricity from outside the motor into the spinning armature, which is how the motor gets power. Due to the friction they endure these brushes will wear down over time, this is why they are one of the most common parts you will need to replace in your power tools. This carbon brush is sold individually, however some motors require two carbon brushes; we recommend you replace both at the same time, even if only one is worn out. To determine how many you need for the motor in your power tool we recommend you refer to model specific diagrams. When you are replacing a carbon brush be sure to inspect the armature of the motor, if there are burns, cracks, or other signs of damage this might indicate a bigger problem with the motor.
