Do the ears of this gear fit into the ears of the clutch drum? When tightening the clutch shoe the clutch drum will not spin freely. I noticed there is not enough clearance on the shaft so the clutch shoe bottoms out on the drum. Cant quite figure out what I have wrong. This entire event started due to no oil at the bar. Checked everything else out so I wanted to see if the oil pump was damaged. Figured maybe the gear was damaged. It looks like it should fit into the clutch drum. Wish I didn't start this!

Hi Jerry, Thank you for your question. Based on the diagram, the gear would insert into the flocked pump cover which would attach to the clutch drum assembly. We hope this helps!
