Blender does not liquify for smoothies. Is that blade assembly? Cause motor is still going strong.

blades would no longer rotate because pin securing blades to dome had become loose

I simply replaced the Dome & Blade Assembly. I used Part No. PS401674 for my Kitchen Aid blender. I was concerned that the assembly wouldn't fit because there wasn't info about the specific model I have, but a call to reassured me -- no problem.

Drive Coupling Had Disintegrated And Dome And Blade Assembly Was Basically "Frozen" And Very Difficult To Turn.

Went online to inquire about repairing the blender. . . . . . . Had about decided to discard it! Glad I did not. Found the info on changing out the drive coupling and read other comments from other customers. After I understood that the metal in the drive coupling and the shaft were different metals, I had no difficulty "prying" the old drive coupling off. Then it was simply a matter of screwing (ccw) the new coupling on. I decided to replace the dome and blade assembly even though I may have been able to work it free with a little effort. Glad I found how to do it!!! Simple!!
