The piece of the fan blade that connects to the motor to rotate the fan broke
We had a over 20yr A/C unit that never failed us until recently! Might I add me and my husband had no clue how to fix this, we are just normal people trying to save a buck here and there, but we did a little research online, looked at this thing about a million times to figure out the best strategy and went for it! It took us 2 1/2hrs but we took apart some screws off the front half since the fan was in the back half, as soon as we got past the styrofoam, we unscrewed the 3 pillars that connects to the back, saw the fan, unscrewed the old part that broke off and replaced it with the new fan. We put all the pieces back and were good to go! This fixed the issue we had! We spent $70 for the part to ship overnight and that saved us about $600-$1000 on buying a brand new a/c! As a women I love challenges like this just to gain more knowledge and save money! Hope this info helps the next person!
