Web Developer

Fix.com is looking for a Web Developer to work on one of the largest ecommerce websites in Canada

The Web Developer will join our development team to continue development of our ecommerce web sites. The Web Developer will work with our .Net Developers, Database Developers, Creative Director and Project Management team to add new features and improve on existing designs.

Our websites are web forms developed in C# entirely in-house, focused on responsive design and maximizing ecommerce performance. The Web Developer is responsible for implementing the designs in the front end, creating the C# pages and their CSS, HTML, and JS.

Duties
  • As part of the core development team, implement new web applications in ASP.NET / C#
  • Create HTML / CSS / JavaScript for our web sites
  • Optimize websites for performance, minimizing time to serve and file sizes
  • Debug and test responsive websites across viewports and browsers
  • Maintain and update existing systems for our ecommerce web sites
  • Work with designers and stakeholders to iterate designs
  • Take part in peer code review with other Web Developers and .Net Developers
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in web development
    OR
    A relevant university degree and experience in web development
    OR
    Proven ability and passion for creating high-quality websites
  • Familiarity with responsive web design
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for learning
  • Must be able to work in Canada
Would be Considered an Asset
  • Design skills and experience creating graphic assets
  • Experience optimizing website performance
  • Experience working on a multi-person development team with ticket-based task management

This is a full time, in-person position (not telecommuting) in our Dartmouth office. Standardized testing may be conducted as part of our screening process.
