We help do-it-yourselfers (DIY) fix their home appliances, outdoor power tools and lawn equipment. EGP operates a family of DIY web sites and have been online since 1999. We provide consumers with the parts and know-how to fix their household products themselves, offering the internet’s largest collection of step-by-step installation instructions and videos. EGP is committed to helping consumers repair rather than replace their household products.

We are a growing dynamic company with a dedicated and fun team of ecommerce professionals and a great opportunity awaits for a Jr. Data Specialist to work on one of the largest ecommerce websites based in Atlantic Canada.

Our Data Specialist position is a key part of our Data Services team, working to import and improve our data and to ensure that it is accurate, appropriate, and available. This candidate would also be responsible for planning and conducting testing of internally and externally sourced data while ensuring that a high level of data integrity is maintained. The ideal candidate would be meticulous, observant, rapid learner and adaptable.

  • Performs testing on data systems
  • Maintain data quality and integrity
  • Performs data maintenance through continuous review and sanitization of data
  • Identify data integrity issues and recommend corrective action
  • Assist in the coordination and communication with stakeholders to resolve inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Assist in procedures related to collection and accuracy of data
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Online research skills
  • Ability to work independently or with collaborative teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work in Canada
Qualifications that are considered an asset but not required
  • Technical Certificate or Post-Secondary education in Computer Science or related field
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerQuery and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Master data management work experience
  • Programming expertise
  • Basic HTML and SQL skills
  • Research experience
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts
  • Experience using illustrated parts catalogs or repairing appliances, tools, or outdoor power equipment
