.Net Developer

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is looking for a .Net Developer to work on one of the largest ecommerce websites in Atlantic Canada

The .Net Developer will join our development team to develop the backend ASP.NET and C# code that powers our ecommerce web sites. The ideal candidate will need both communication and analytical skills to work with the team to effectively design and document new features and components.

  • As part of the core development team, implement new web applications in ASP.NET / C#
  • Maintain and update existing systems for our ecommerce web sites
  • Optimize's ecommerce system and other web applications
  • Work with our Front End developers to create HTML / CSS / JavaScript for our web sites
  • Take part in peer code review with other .Net Developers
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 1 year’s experience in ASP.NET web development or C#
    A university degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional programming, including a minimum of 1 year’s experience in ASP.NET development or C#
  • Familiarity with developing applications with ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms technology
  • Extensive knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS (including headers, caching, response codes, session management)
  • Must be able to work in Canada
Would be Considered an Asset:
  • Front-end development technologies including but not limited to HTML5, PHP, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, LESS
  • Proficiency with REST and SOAP-based ASP.NET Web Services developed in C#
  • Knowledgeable of JS performance considerations and modern JS module design
  • Experience developing C# console applications or advanced PowerShell scripting

This is a full time, in-person position (not telecommuting) in our Dartmouth office. Standardized testing may be conducted as part of our screening process.
