We are an ecommerce market leader for replacement parts in the USA and Canada. We’re always looking for smart, creative people to join our team and a great opportunity awaits a self-directed and experienced Data Collection Manager to work on one of the largest ecommerce websites in Canada.

The Data Collection Manager will join our Truro development team to manage the collection of internal and external data that is used to optimize the search function behind our ecommerce websites. The ideal candidate will need both communication and analytical skills to work with both the team and data providers to effectively source and supply evolving data needs.

As a Data Collection Manager, you will be responsible to:
  • Work with search team and data providers to create, maintain, and modify projects
  • Manipulate data collected internally and externally in Excel, VBA, and PowerQuery
  • Create, modify, and maintain project requests with HTML coding language
  • Build and maintain network of relationships with data providers through various platforms including via Email, web portals, and distribution groups
  • Support evolving team needs for search function optimization of our ecommerce websites

The skills and attributes required in this position include:
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Excel, VBA, and PowerQuery
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML coding
  • Must be highly self-directed, fast learner, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to work in Canada
The skills and attributes that are considered an asset for this position include:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field
  • In-field work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA, and PowerQuery and the Office 2016 Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML coding
  • Beginner or higher knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity managing projects and deliverables

This is a full-time, in-person position (not telecommuting) working out of our Truro office location. Standardized testing and criminal background checks will be conducted as part of the screening process
