The Dryer's Lint Filter is used to collect lint during the dryer cycle as it passes through the dryer vent, in order to prevent damage to the machine. This manufacturer-approved part comes in gray, measures around 12 inches wide by 11 inches high, and is easy to install. It slides into the lint filter slot in your dryer. If there is visible damage to the screen then it's time to replace the part. We recommend that you thoroughly clean the lint filter before every load, but even with good maintenance, this hard-working part is often damaged or worn over time. If your dryer isn't drying quickly, the filter may be responsible. The manufacturer has made an authorized substitution to the lint filter. Special details: When replacing lint screen ADQ56656401 you may need to also replace lint screen housing MCK49049101 and lint screen guide MEA49050001 to prevent items from catching on the lint screen, depending on your model.

This OEM drum support roller kit contains the parts needed to replace one roller on your dryer. This kit includes one drum roller and two bearings. Most dryers use two drum rollers, and it is recommended to change both at once for optimal performance. The drum support roller holds the drum in position while it spins on the support wheels. It rotates on the roller shaft located on the rear bulkhead. It may need to be replaced if your dryer is noisy, will not tumble, leaves marks on clothes, or will not start. This part is prone to wear and tear, and if broken will need to be replaced. This part measures roughly 3 inches in diameter and is made of plastic, metal, and rubber. Each kit is sold individually (two would be needed to replace both drum support rollers, which is recommended).

"Sqealing" noise when drum rotating
Disconnected power supply, removed front panel, removed tub support bracket, removed electrical lines from light and door switch( to have better access to install front guide kit), removed belt, removed drum, removed old rollers, installed new rollers and rest of installation was in reverse order of taking machine apart. In order to install the front guide kit(which I've never done before), I had to watch the installation instructions via you-tube. This was a tremendous aide as the instructions were simple and very adequate. Read more...

Commonly referred to as dog ears, these agitator directional cogs are manufacturer approved replacement parts that come in a package of 4 and are usually used with direct drive washing machines. We recommend replacing all 4 directional cogs at the same time. The agitator directional cogs reach across the gear teeth in one direction and dig into the gear teeth in the other direction to create the needed agitation. This thrusting motion is what tumbles your clothes during the wash cycle. When the teeth on the outer edge are damaged, the cogs will not engage with the upper agitator, making it impossible to agitate as it should. If your machine makes unusual noises, shakes/moves while operating, or will not spin or drain properly, it may be time to replace them. To access this part, simply remove the softener dispenser and then the agitator cap. You will find them attached to the agitator. Each cog is approximately 1 inch long and made of a durable plastic.

Upper agitator stopped working
Followed the simple instructions on youtube, searching for "kenmore upper agitator doesn't work." There are a number of videos there. Find the notch on agitator cover and pry off the cover using a flat screw driver. Remove the nut in the center of the agitator using the 7/16 socket with extension. Remove upper agitator (mine came off easily but some may require removing the entire agitator, then pulling off the upper agitator). Remove assembly from inside and replace the dogs. Reassemble. This drum support roller is sold individually. Most dryers require two. The tri-rings are included. This is a drum support roller for a dryer. It is a genuine replacement part. The part includes the drum roller only and does not include the tri-rings. This part is sold separately. Most dryers require two drum rollers. It is recommended to check and replace both drum support rollers at the same time to ensure proper drum rotation and because they often wear at the same rate. The drum support roller holds the drum in the proper position while it spins on the support wheels. If rollers are worn out, they will cause the dryer to be noisy.

Loud squeaking and squealing
Lint Filter - Removed old lint filter and inserted new lint filter. This is the first time I tried to fix a dryer. A handyman I am not. I found two very useful YouTube videos using basically my model of Kenmore (11067851600). Disassembly/Assembly - here is a difference between Kenmore 29" wide dryers and 27" wide dryers. Mine is 27". My effort was not a smooth as these videos. The bottom front panel's right most clip was quite troublesome. The moisture sensor wire required needle nose pliers to be disconnected and reconnected. The open door sensor was not easy to disconnect. Although with a few special magic words it came apart. The upper front panel was held in place with two T20 Torx screws. I had only had a T15 driver, therefore a trip to Home Depot was required. The first two tri rings were not easily removed, however, on third tri ring it became easier and not damaged. Replacement of tri rings was not troublesome. Support rollers snapped in place easily. However, I did thoroughly clean the housing. It was quite grimy. Actually, while I had the dryer open I cleaned everything including the heating element and electric motor. It now operates quietly. It took me a little over two hours because I am not handy and must take care not to make matters worse plus I thoroughly cleaned everything include scuff marks where the drum rubs. Anyone else probably should have it completed 30-60 minutes easily. Read more...

Located on the door of front load washing machines, the Door Strike ensures that the door will lock by activating the switch, which in turn allows the appliance to run properly. If your washer door will not open or close, is leaking, or the machine will not start or spin, your door strike may be damaged and should be replaced. Regular wear and tear, or a misaligned door may cause the piece to break. This is an easy repair and requires a Phillips screwdriver. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic, approximately 2 inches in length, and is held in place by 2 screws on the inside of the door. Simply unscrew and remove the old part, line up the placement of the new part using the notch, and tighten the screws back into place.

This ball-and-socket style bearing kit is used in your dryer to support the rear of the drum as it tumbles through the dry cycle. The bearing attaches on the inside of the rear panel of the dryer cabinet. Over time, the bearing or the bushing can wear out, and the ball support can become damaged. If these things happen, your dryer may not tumble, or it will be noisy while operating. If this is the case, you may need to replace these parts. This genuine OEM parts kit includes one bearing, one ball shaft, one ball bearing, one ball bearing retainer, a small tube of high-temperature lubricant, and the installation screws. Completing this repair requires taking the entire drum out of your dryer along with handling greasy parts, so have a rag handy for cleanup. Please ensure that you disconnect the power supply to your appliance before beginning this repair.

Often referred to as a dryer belt tension pulley wheel, this idler pulley is an OEM approved replacement part for a variety of dryer models. The idler pulley puts tension on the drive belt, and if the idler pulley fails to put the proper amount of tension on the belt, the dryer will not spin. It is located on the dryer drum, around the tension pulley. If your appliance is noisy during operation, will not tumble, or will not start, you may need to replace this part. It is made of durable plastic and has a diameter of roughly 2-inches. This part also includes the hardware needed for replacement. Most of our customers found this repair to be medium difficulty, and required a Philips screwdriver, 1/4-inch nut driver, putty knife, small flat blade screwdriver, and needle nose pliers to get the job done.

This part is located on the front bulkhead of the dryer and helps the drum to rotate smoothly and quietly. If you notice a screeching or metal-on-metal noise while your appliance is operating, you may need to replace the front glides. This genuine OEM front glide kit comes with a blue plastic glide, a brown cork pad, and two metallic rivets. We recommend replacing both sets of glides at the same time, which will require the purchase of two kits. To complete this repair, you will need a Philips screwdriver and a 5/16 nut-driver to remove the front panel and the bulkhead of the dryer, a drill with a 1/8-inch bit to remove the old rivets, and a rivet tool to install the new ones. Please ensure that you disconnect the power supply to your dryer before beginning this repair. While you have the appliance opened, we recommend vacuuming out any lint and debris, and inspecting the felt around the bulkhead and replacing if necessary.

If your dryer is excessively noisy when operating, is not tumbling, or is leaving marks on your laundry, it may be time to replace the drum glides. The drum glide bearing is a genuine OEM part for your dryer and is used to help the drum rotate smoothly and quietly. If the bearing has worn out, it can make your dryer noisy when operating, with a metal-on-metal sound. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to the dryer before beginning this repair.

This is a single OEM dryer drum belt. It measures 100 inches in length, 3/8 of an inch wide and has five ribs and four grooves. Keep in mind that this rubber drum belt will stretch over time, so if you are comparing your current belt to these specified measurements, they may not be exact. For this repair, you will need to disconnect the power, and remove the front panel and drum. You will need a 5/16 nut driver and a stubby Phillips screwdriver. While you are doing this repair, be careful not to let the belt fall into the groove in the drum, causing it to be too loose.
