Glass Turntable Coupler

Unplugged the microwave and removed the 5 screws holding the bottom cover in place. Since the bottom cover is hinged in the back, I let the cover hang in place. I removed the connector from the turntable motor and then removed the two screws holding the motor in place. Lifted out the glass turntable and lifted the coupler out. Reinstalled ... Read more the new motor, placed the coupler onto the new motor and reinstalled the bottom cover. Biggest hassle was entering in the time and date after plugging the microwave back in!!

Remove the broken coupler by pulling it up and out. Insert the new coupler by aligning it with the d-shaped shaft and pressing down until it clicked into place. Reinstall the glass turn table and test.

JUST PUSHED THE NEW ONE ON THE MOTOR STEM

Pried the broken coupler out with screwdriver. Pressed the new coupler in place. Had to make sure it was seated correctly. The part arrived the day after I ordered it online. Thank you.

I removed the old glass turntable coupler and replaced with the new one by hands, no tool needed, very easy.

Although the instructions that came with the part said to take the bottom screws out, tilt and remove motor; none of this necessary. Just slipped the coupler over the driving screw and that is it. Works beautifully.

Unplug or turn the breaker off to the unit. On the bottom of the unit remove the three screws at the front and one on each side in the rear. Let cover down, unplug the connector on the motor then turn the motor so tabs allow the motor too drop away.
