What is the gap betweem flywheel and armature?
For model number G1200R
Fix.com logo
Hi Star, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the common armature gap range is 0.30mm. As long as it is not less than 0.30mm, it will be okay. If the gap is too great, the engine may not start as easily. If the gap is too small or less than 0.30mm, there is a risk that the coil and flywheel might touch as the flywheel heats up and expands when the engine is running. If they touch, the coil will be ruined by a shorting of the iron sheaves. Armatures are often packaged with a thick piece of paper to assist in setting the gap. We hope this information is useful!
